Day 2

Things didn't start too well today - heavy skies and rain

But it cleared up and we went to the beach - beware of jellyfish - they are big'uns.

We drove to Knysna today - this is one of the main stopping places on the Garden Route. We are staying here for a couple of days. We thought we would go whale watching.

I expected a larger boat but it did the job - 2 hours of riding the waves finally came up trumps with a humpback and baby

Very difficult to get a good picture as these fellows were reluctant to do any waving their tails in the air tricks plus trying to take pictures with one hand on the camera and the other clamped to the grab rail while we are bobbing around in 10 foot swells is a tough gig.

Anyway the trip was a lot of fun especially as Coral said she has never taken a speed boat ride - a quiet word in the captains ear and we were set for a 30 knot run through the waves back home - well I enjoyed it! Taking Mrs S to a slap up seafood feast tonight - will give you the lowdown later.
